In my endless quest to organize my gig bag, I created a vinyl zipper pouch to put my odds and ends in. I always seem to lose my earplugs at the bottom of my bag!

Taking pictures of the whole process was difficult since I used clear vinyl in bad lighting, so I found this super awesome tutorial that shows you the same thing!

There isn’t a better way to start a practice session than with a great warmup! I like to change up what I warmup with so I don’t get bored. How often do you change your warmups?

Everyone has their own preferred method, but some books really help with the process. Check out my most used/loved warmups books listed below!

– 17 Daily Exercises (17 Grands Exercises Journaliers de Mecanisme) (w/Gaubert) – Taffanel

– De La Sonorite – Marcel Moyse

– Technical Flexibility for Flutists – Geoffrey Gilbert

– The Flutist’s Vade Mecum – Walfrid Kujala

What are your favorite warmups?
